Well, we finally have had our 15 minutes of fame…or at least another shot at it!
About a year an a half ago Daniel and I had the good fortune to do an episode on HGTV’s Show, Bang For Your Buck. Well, the show finally aired last October and was due to air again this past November. As the TV scheduling fates at HGTV would have it, it was cancelled at the last moment and is due to be rescheduled in the near future.
Since we missed the first airing…busy traveling…we were eager to see it and to share this great moment with one and all. Disappointed about the rescheduling, but not about to give up, we decided to put it up on our YouTube Channel in order to share it with one and all.
The show involved three interior design teams all from New York City, who had the daunting task of renovating and apartment for $400,000.
Okay, I don’t want to sound flippant about $400,000.00 worth of renovation, but, unless you live here and understand the cost of doing business in The Big Apple, you can go through that pile of change in a few heartbeats if the extent of the project is large enough.
The project we featured on the show was one of our favorites. We had great simpatico with our clients and they were seriously interested in testing the dezign-waters in new and different styles from their previous home. This allowed us to come up with some clever dezign-solutions and interesting mixes of furnishings and fabrics and finishes…always happiness for any interior designer!
The prize for the winning design team was $10,000 to be donated to their favorite charity.
Okay, time to tune in...and check out how we did in this fun design battle! Just click on the video above, sit back and relax and watch us battle for the $10,000 prize. I won’t ruin it for you by telling you who won.
Ciao, ciao ’til next time!
