I had the good fortune to have the privilege of spending some time with MEGAN REILLY, the energetic blonde who is the MARKETING DIRECTOR of the fabulous ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST HOME DESIGN SHOW, which is coming to town on MARCH 22 – 25. That is this week, folks, so get your dezign juices flowing! I plied her with tons of questions hoping to give you all the heads up on what to expect at this year’s show.
First of all, MEGAN is a true gem. Her background is in design, and she knows her business backwards and forwards. She puts in long days working on organizing the show so that it appears to run without any glitches. I personally never miss it. And after my discussion with MEGAN today I can confidently tell you that you may need more than one day to cover all of the highlights this year. It is going to be outstanding and filled to the brim with talented artisans and vendors.
But let me allow Megan to do the talking:
So as you can see, there will be more furnishings than ever to see in the “MADE” section this year…my personal favorite. I guarantee you that you will discover some of the most beautifully designed furnishings and art and accessories from super talented artisans there. Truth be told, several of the designers I have written about I first discovered there! Check out And Now in the Center Arena: Architectural Digest Home Design Show from last year’s show in order to read about my personal “hot picks” from last year’s exhibit.
Some of the other brand new and first time ever events at the show this year are “REFRESH”, where you will see everything and anything that is the latest and greatest in kitchens, baths and building products. AND there is always the fantastic “FABRIC EXHIBITION” where you are bound to see only the most fabulous and the most exquisite.
So look for me…as I wouldn’t miss the show for all the tea in China! I’ll be the red head in the pink ‘LICIOUS shirt scooting about looking for something wild and wonderful to share with you all!
And, thanks MEGAN, for sharing the inside story on the AD Home Design Show.
CIAO, CIAO ‘TIL NEXT TIME!
